Quality, Environment, Health & Safety are considered very important elements within the Kenz Figee Group. This applies to the service, modification and inspection of existing offshore and harbour cranes, but also to the manufacturing and installation of new build cranes. As such, organizational management is firmly rooted in the policy statement, organizational objectives and constant attention to detail and procedures.
On the 8th of April 1993, the Kenz Figee Group received the ISO-9001-2 certificate and on February 1st 2012 the Group also received the ISO-9000-2008 certificate (including design). With regards to certification, The Kenz Figee Group builds on a long and valuable collaboration with Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, located in Rotterdam, London and Aberdeen.
In June 2010 a progress project was started to convert the existing Quality Management manual into a flowchart driven manual with the aim of realizing a more user-friendly system. Within the Kenz Figee Group client expectations and client satisfaction are in line with process control and process optimization and procedures. To ensure the above mentioned topics we organize audits, take care of guidance and critical material and use and control a Non Conformity System for complaints.
In our company policy, the well being of the environment plays an integral role. The basic principle is to have a minimum impact on our natural environment, taking into account that the functionality of our final product is, of course, leading. In case of a comprehensive or a high risk project on location, we’ll make a Task & Risk assessment in advance, where the subject Environment is taken into account. In doing so, the impact of our operations on the surrounding natural environment is minimized.
To make sure that the risk of damaging the natural environment during storage of- and operations with oils, lubricants and chemicals (such as solvents) is reduced as much as possible, we make use of drip pans and storage cabins that are specially designed for the storage of these liquids. During these activities all necessary precautions are taken and all waste is cleaned up with the designated equipment without delay.
HEALTH & SAFETY
We consider our employees to be an essential factor for the delivery of our quality products. Therefore we have been a VCA** certified company since April 4th 1997. Employees who work for the Service or Production department are fully VCA certified. We aim to provide our employees with the knowledge to will help them to make the right decisions regarding personal safety, the safety of others, the environment and equipment. The most important procedures regarding the Health and Safety of our employees are secured and a part of the Quality Management Manual.
It is our company policy for personal protection equipment, required to work safely, to be available at all times for all of our employees. When working outside the designated safety areas, wearing this protective equipment is mandatory. Of course this also applies to personnel of subcontractors when working for the Kenz Figee Group. Personnel not directly under contract at the Kenz Figee Group are required to hold a basic VCA certificate for a minimum of one year and the correct personal protection equipment.
To guarantee all of the above, toolbox meetings and work place inspections take place that are in line with VCA**regulations. Monitoring the implementation of these inspections is the responsibility of our QESH department. The QESH department reports to our management team once a month. Also, our employees working on location are expected to abide by the rules and regulations that are applicable to that specific location.
