Our offshore gangways
Kenz Cranes can deliver two types of gangways, a small and large gangway but as every type of operation requires its own solution, our gangways are available in different sizes. Also, due to our extensive experience with tailor made systems, we can offer our gangways according to specific client requirements.
Small offshore gangway system 15-25m
The motion compensated small Kenz gangway 15-25m has been designed for a fast and efficient personnel exchange with short transfer cycles including a landing cone for platform access. This gangway can also be equipped with a custom designed bumper for multiple access points.
Large offshore gangway system 30-45m
The larger Kenz gangway 30-45m uses motion compensation in combination with a landing cone for an accurate and safe landing zone access procedure.
We offer different possibilities for the gangways to make connection with a platform of installation: the landing cone and the bumper.
The landing cone is provided with a rotatable joint to cope with different gangway angles, and a weak link mechanism. The weak link ensures that the gangway bridge cannot be overstressed due to hitting mechanical end stops.
The bumper at the tip of the telescopic gangway pushes with an adjustable force onto the connecting platform. It can rotate slightly to ensure that no torsional loads will enter the gangway structure during connection.
Gangway motion compensation
To compensate the relative motion between the vessel and fixed objects such platforms or wind turbines, our gangways can be equipped full motion compensation. Both the translational as well as the rotational motions of the vessel will be compensated.
Realized offshore gangway systems
Kenz Cranes recently delivered two offshore gangways to POSH in Singapore.
PACC Offshore Services Holdings Limited (POSH) is the largest Asia-based international operator of offshore support vessels, and one of the top five globally.
Offshore gangway design
These gangways are the smaller motion compensated gangways (15-25 mtr).
The two telescopic gangways provided to POSH will be used in the nearby future by Saudi Aramco.
